The University of the West of England (UWE) has invested in a new multi-million-pound building which is located next to the University specifically supporting many different engineering disciplines in one contemporary space. It provides different and more flexible ways of working for both students and staff – training the next generation of engineers.

We worked closely with Taunton Fabrications who were appointed by BAM Construct UK to complete all the secondary and architectural metalwork at UWE School of Engineering that included the impressive atrium stairs, powder coated mesh balustrade featuring timber handrails, and external stainless-steel balustrade using our Zircon 38.

Home to specialist laboratories, workshops and digital engineering facilities, the building has been designed to complement the University’s practice-based curriculum – bringing engineering to life through real world problems.
